A Great Film

The Secret

Visualising the future or using creative visualisation has in innumerous ways been a theme in management, personal growth, sports and spiritual development during decades.

Some see visualisation as a useful tool in getting a team focused on a common future goal. Others also believe that focusing on a positive inner goal works in a metaphysical way, putting you in contact with the means to realize your goal. It is, of course, impossible to know just where the line goes. Winning a marathon is definitely helped by inner visualisation, but intense physical training is also necessary. Still, an inner vision gives energy and motivation to do the training.

The film The Secret takes on this subject and describes the power of creative visualisation, including the metaphysical aspects, in detail.

Several scientists and well-known authors are being interviewed in the film, among them Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul) and John Gray (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus). Other people tell their personal stories on how creative visualisation has made a difference in their lives.

As many people prefer a film to a book, this film is a great introduction to the theme of creative visualisation. As for those who find the metaphysical parts hard to digest at first, it will be obvious that simply getting really clear on what you want to create in your life, is going to support you to manifest it. Even within a totally rational framework, this film will show you how to focus on the possibilities to create what you want in your life.

The Secret is a beautifully made film which also includes short sketches illustrating many of the examples.

The Secret, a film by Rhonda Byrne, Paul Harrington and Drew Heriot.
